How we care for them
As soon as a kitten arrives with us, they receive a head-to-toe health check to ensure there are no underlying issues which we should be made aware of. This can help us to give them the best beginning possible. We have experience with kittens with most aspects of issues. We have worked closely with our vets to overcome numerous serious complications and illnesses. From amputees, to kittens with serious bacterial infections, we thrive to see them come out the other end feeling better and getting them ready for their new homes.
Our specialized kitten fosters have experience in hand rearing and know the signs to look for when things aren't quite right. An early diagnosis gives us the best chance of a full recovery. We have provided numerous litters with bottle feeds when Mum hasn't wanted to or has been unable to do this herself. As hand rears, this can usually mean they're not quite as big as usual, and this can often extend their stay with us until both us and our vets are happy they're at an ideal size and weight.

Kitten Essentials
Bringing a kitten home requires some preparation. We've compiled a list of all the necessities your new kitten will need, along with valuable tips on their care, from nutrition and litter training to playtime and veterinary visits. Equip yourself with the knowledge to give your kitten the best start. Please find our list of necessities below:
3 bowls - 1 for wet food, 1 for dry food and 1 for water.
Litter tray - 2 for each kitten or feline friend.
Toys - as with all new adoptions, you will impulsively buy bundles of toys. The truth is, they would much prefer a cardboard box. A few toys will keep them more than entertained.
Food - Ensure to get the same food that your kitten is used to. Sudden changes in food can and does upset a kittens tummy.
Carrier - Remember your carrier for your collection day. The kitten may not necessarily like travelling, this can be helped by covering the carrier with a blanket.
Cat litter - As with food, you can be overwhelmed with the variety of cat litters. Try to remain with the same one they are used to. A sudden change in cat litter can result in accidents around your home. Some kittens and cats may not like "dusty" litters and this can irritate their eyes.
